Cedar Lake Speedway

They call it “Wisconsin’s Fastest Piece of Real Estate,” and one lap around Cedar Lake Speedway will tell you why. The track’s story began in 1956, when farmer Elmer Cook looked out across a swampy bowl on his New Richmond property and told his 14-year-old son Bob it would make a perfect racetrack. Three weeks of grading later, Cedar Lake was roughed in. The first event drew 85 spectators and 12 cars.

Today it draws thousands. Cedar Lake signed on as a NASCAR Home Track in 2008 and has since become one of the most recognized dirt ovals in the country, hosting marquee events like The Masters, the World of Outlaws USA Nationals, the Legendary 100, and the Triple Crown.

NASCAR royalty, including Tony Stewart, Kenny Wallace, Greg Biffle, Sterling Marlin, and Paul Menard have all turned laps here.

With a weekly program of Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Midwest Modifieds, plus the biggest names in dirt rolling through all season, “The Lake” is exactly what it claims to be: the premier dirt track in the Midwest.
